At Sydney’s MCA Foundation Hall, The Big Group selected the Elizabeth cordless lamp to complement the venue’s elegant interiors. Situated on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, and once the reception hall of the former Maritime Services Board, the space retains its heritage detailing and art deco character, now reimagined within the Museum of Contemporary Art. The warm brass, refined proportions and soft illumination enhance the hall’s architectural grace, creating a setting that’s both grand and intimate.

The Elizabeth embodies the qualities that make NEOZ lighting so versatile in event and hospitality environments. Developed by designers Peter Ellis, Gabriel Tam and James Perry, the Elizabeth was conceived as a larger companion to the Victoria lamp. Standing 55 centimetres tall, it has a presence suited to statement interiors while retaining the same sense of proportion and balance.
Elizabeth’s brass body gives it a rich, tactile quality that anchors the design. Whether polished to a soft gleam or finished with a natural, aged patina, the material catches and diffuses light in a way that feels timeless. Paired with cotton or pleated silk shades, the result is a lamp that brings warmth and definition to a space, its character deepening as the surface matures over time.
